This was the first drawing that I ever made using Chinese ink. I had some ideas about this technique and wanted to give it a try. I started by drawing directly in the paper with the brush, without using the pencil, to avoid that the graphite climb the ink. Whenever I could I gave a single brushstroke, because if we go back to paint again on the same place, it will be noted the overlap of ink layers, which does not always looks good visually, especially if it happens in an area in which we want uniformity of the layer. The image was taken from a photo of a magazine, I was attracted by the surprised face of the man; I found it interesting and tried to capture the expression :)
